toendaCMS is a web application developed in PHP and not an application for a specific platform (like Windows, Mac or Linux). So you need nothing because of a webserver where PHP is installed and a web browser like "Mozilla Firefox" or "Internet Explorer" to administer your webpage.

To install and run toendaCMS successfully there are some requirements for both server and client (user) that must be met.

Webserver

• Operating System: Unix (eg Linux), Windows or Mac
• Webserver: Webserver Apache, IIS
• Middleware: PHP4 or PHP5 (read toendaCMS 2 and PHP5)
• Database: XML, mySQL or any other database system supported by the toendaCMS SQLAL (e.g. Postgres, Microsoft SQL Server)
• Hardware: A typically webserver setup with a modern CPU and at least 256 MB Ram is enough. As with all database-driven applications, more RAM is advisable though.

Recommed Apache/PHP extensions

• GDlib (compiled with PHP)
• zlib (compiled with PHP)
• Apache with mod_gzip/mod_rewrite

Client (User)

• Recommended: Opera or Mozilla Firefox on any OS, Internet Explorer 5+ on Windows
• Required: Any graphical browser on any OS (IE, Opera, Safari, Konqueror on Windows, Unix, Mac)
• Hardware: Relatively modern computer
